Daniel Hernández, better known as rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, has once again taken the internet by storm.
Since 2018, the American rapper has been seen handing out money on the streets in various parts of the world, particularly in North America. These videos have shocked online users. While his motive appears to be helping those in need, the origin of his wealth remains a mystery.
Social media went wild when fans discovered the rapper was in Ecuador. The 26-year-old went viral after donating over $40,000 to underprivileged residents in Cotopaxi.
He traveled to the country for a series of scheduled events and, after fulfilling them, visited nearby communities to hand out the money.
“This is what the world doesn’t show… appreciate what you have in life, because there are people who wish they lived your life.” he wrote on his official Instagram account.
The artist stated that while he spends thousands daily on clothes, shoes, cars, and clubs, the best feeling is spending money on people who truly need it.

Two online videos show the rapper—often seen as a modern-day Robin Hood—donating thousands of dollars to a poor family in Mexico and to flower vendors on a New York highway. In one video, he says: “Remember yesterday when I said I’d try to donate $50,000 weekly to people in need? Well, today I have 100,000 pesos. I’m on my way to the airport and I’m in Mexico. I’m here watching how the Mexican people live in these conditions, and I’m going to give this family one million pesos at random.”
The footage shows Tekashi leading the way from his car and entering a man named Carlos’s home. He hands him thick bundles of cash.
The shocked family can hardly believe it. A mother and her daughters begin to cry, clearly moved by the gesture. Tekashi encourages them: “Take your time. God bless you.”
In a second video, the rapper says: “I’m about to leave New York, heading to the airport. I saw this family selling flowers to survive, so I’m going to bless them anyway.”
He is then seen saying: “I want to give you $20,000 and let you share it with your friends.” A woman responds: “It’s like heaven just came down. God bless you. We’re praying for you.”
